Holiday Storytelling Readers

I am still adding listeners and will probably be making changes throughout the next few days.

Please check the wiki for all the details about your session and let me know if you have any questions.

Here are some Reader Tips to help you prepare

1. Please be prepared to begin precisely on time.  Your session should begin on the hour or half hour and end after 25-28 min.  You may be automatically disconnected to allow participants for the next session to prepare.

2.It is helpful to have 2 copies of your book.  If possible, display one book on a document camera connected to your video conference cart.  If you do not have a document camera or 2 copies of the book, hold the book up and zoom into to show the pictures.  (Some of you have sessions that occur in a different format – let me know if you have questions specific to your presentation)

3.Begin your session by introducing yourself and tell a little about your job.  Then greet each of your listeners.  See the schedules listed on the wiki for a list of the schools connecting with you:  http://katyvc.pbworks.com/Holiday+Storytelling+-+activities

4.Engage your audience participants before, during, and after your story if possible.  Call a school by name, and then ask a question or direct students to share a connection.

5.Let me know if you have additional questions or need.

Thanks again for blessing our Katy ISD kids, Alief friends, and partners in Central New York with your gift of time!

One more tip….All listeners should have their microphone on MUTE to prevent background feedback and interruption of the session.  If someone forgets, you should remind them to MUTE.  When greeting your listeners and asking questions….you will want to call on a specific school.
